Alphabets, Letter, words and Phrases

The Alphabet: The set of the all letters of a language is called the Alphabet. There are twenty-six alphabets in English language. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. These are of two types. 

किसी भाषा के अक्षरों का समूह वर्णमाला कहलाता है। अंग्रेजी वर्णमाला में छब्बीस अक्षर हैं। अंग्रेजी में कुल 26 letter हैं। A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. दो प्रकार के होते हैं।

Letters: We use some signs to write or signify the sounds are known as letters. There are 26 letters in English alphabet. 

वर्ण : अविभाजित ध्वनि जिसके और टुकड़े नहीं किया सके वर्ण (Letter) कहलाते है। अंग्रेजी में कुल 26 letter हैं।

Each English letter is written in two differed forms like caps or capital and smalls or small.

प्रत्येक अंग्रेजी का अक्षर दो प्रकार से लिख जाता है। जिसे हम कैप्स या कैपिटल तथा स्माल्स या स्माल लैटर कहते हैं।

Capital letters and Capitals: English letter written in large from are called capitals or capital letters.

बड़े रूप में लिखे अंग्रेजी अक्षरों को कैप्स या कैपिटल लैटर कहते है। ये इस प्रकार लिखे जाते हैं। 
In caps: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y,Z.

Small letters of small: English letter written in small form are called smalls or small letters. Small letters are also written as small and large size. 
छोटे रूप में लिखे अंग्रेजी अक्षरों को स्माल्स या स्माल लैटर कहते है। ये छोटे व बड़े आकार में लिखे जाते हैं।

In Smalls:
a, b, c, d, c, f, g, h, i, j, k, I, m, n, op, qr, s, t, u, V, W, x, y, z.

Use of capitals:
1. The first letter of the sentence. 
2. The first letter of the proper noun. 
3. The first letter of a quotation.
4. The first letter to the title.
5. The pronoun 'I' and interrogation 'O' always used in caps.
6. First letter every verse of poem.

Vowel: A vowel is a letter standing for an open sound that can be spooked independently. There are only five vowels in English. As A, E, I, O, and U.

स्वर  : बिना किसी अवरोध या सहायता के बोले जाने वाले अक्षर Vowel कहलाते ही अंग्रेजी में केवल पाँच (A, E, I, O, तथा U) Vowel हैं।

Semi Vowels: The letters sometimes play the role of vowels and some times nonvowels so they are called semi vowels. 
कुछ अक्षर कभी कभी स्वर का तो कभी व्यंजन का कार्य करते हैं। उन्हे शेमी वोविल्स कहते हैं। ये दो प्रकार के होते हैं।

There are two semivowels in English. As 'W' and 'Y'. 
Was, wait, walk, yes yellow, and yearn Nonvowels:
Cow, dew, fly, cry, my, few: Vowels

Consonants: A letter that can sound with the help of some vowels and semi vowels is called consonants. 21 letters B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y, Z are Consonants

व्यजन : स्वरो की सहायता से बोले जाने वाले Letter व्यजन कहलाते हैं। शेष 21 letters (B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y, Z) Consonants हैं।

1. WORD : Meaningful combination or leters is called words. Some important words are given in groups which are more probably used in English. Learning of these words will help us to understand English. 
शब्द : दो या दो से अधिक अक्षरो का सार्थक समूह word कहलाता है। कुछ words नीचे दिये जा रहे है। इन्हें याद करे कर लेना उचित है। ताकि अंग्रेजी समझने में आसानी हो यहाँ कुछ खास शब्द दिए जा रहे हैं।

Single and double letters words
The only one-letter words in English are a and I.

The most common three-letter words are the and and.
